Joyu answers all my questions for the second time.

1.

Wonder Wars has now passed the 1-year mark since the game was made available ( from private alpha to today ) and I wanted to ask you, are you rather satisfied with the current situation of Wonder Wars after 1 year or do you have a disappointment regarding the progress of the game's development and the number of active players in the game?

We are happy with the progress of Wonder Wars during this first year. As you all know, we are a small team and I think we've made great improvements in the game. We still need to work on more content and fix some bugs that have appeared, but overall, since the global launch of the beta we have grown a lot and players are liking the game. So yes, we are happy with how things are going.

2.

With 2024 just around the corner, what are the priorities for the Wonder Wars developers this year?

Our main priorities are fixing some bugs and optimize Wonder Wars so everyone, in every device can play it without any problem. Once that is fixed, we'll start again implementing new features to the game, as we have a lot of them prepared.

3.
For gamers who might have doubts about the future of Wonder Wars (for example, that the game might be cancelled in the middle of development, or that it lacks budget), do you have a message for them?

We are not worried about Wonder Wars being cancelled. As I said before, we are happy with how things are going and we are confident that this 2024 will be a great year for the studio and Wonder Wars will grow.

4.
Will this be an important year for Wonder Wars ?

Yes! I think we've done the most difficult thing, which is starting and putting Wonder Wars out for everyone. Now it is time to improve it and start growing. We really think 2024 will be a great year for us.

5.
In the previous interview, you told us about the process of creating a Wonder, and I wanted to ask you if you could tell us about the process of creating a new map, and if there are any others planned soon that we haven't seen yet?

We've not worked on new maps since the Halloween one (the Christmas map was just adding things to the Jokulheim map). We are thinking about maps and how players have them, use them, etc., so that may change in the near future.

Maps are not our priority right now, so we are not expecting new ones soon.

6.
Is a PC version of Wonder Wars in the pipeline?

We have mentioned it before in some streams and in our Discord server and yes, we are working on a PC version, at least a small one for the beginning. We don't have an exact release date for that, but it is in our plans as of today.

7.
Are there any plans to bring back dark tower mode, or has it been cancelled?

I think we all really liked the Dark Tower mode back in the alpha, but as we said when we put it away from Wonder Wars, we need to improve it so it is more interesting for players now. We'll work on the ranking for it, and its rewards, so it can be a mode that players really want to play. It is not cancelled.

8.
You've introduced the game's last faction, so the question is: is this the last faction, or are there more to come?

Underock is the last faction planned for now. But as we all know, Mundo Maravilla was made of "floating" worlds that formed it as we know now. So, who knows, maybe in the future an Adventurer Orumit discovers a new "lost Faction"...

9.
Do you intend to reinstate official tournaments as they were during the game's alpha?

Yes, esports are really important for us. We are really happy that the Community has started their own tournaments and we are giving them all the support we can for now. But in our plans we want to have a good esports ecosystem where we can have official tournaments and community ones.

10.
Can you tell us about the next Wonder Wars marketing campaign, and when we can expect a new player?

Our main priority is improving the optimization of the game and fixing some annoying bugs with some games. Once we have that, we will start our marketing campaigns to get more players. It doesn't make sense to bring new players when these problems still persist, because it will make those new players leave the game quick.

11.
And finally, as at the end of every interview, do you have a message to pass on to the community listening in?

As we always say: THANK YOU for all your support during this time. You are always here helping us improving the game and we really love your suggestions about new things to come to the game. We can't be more proud of the community we have. We know there have been difficult moments, but players always understand us and help us to keep going. I promise you the team is working really hard to improve Wonder Wars and make you all proud of the game. We hope we all have a great 2024 together and that you keep loving Wonder Wars as you've done during this time.

And thanks Scarlyte for all your dedication to Wonder Wars and for the amazing job you do to bring the Wonder Wars family great content.

See you soon!
